Where a $100 donation goes
A 10% site fee and the card processor’s charge. That’s it.
No hidden fees. No tip prompts. No fees that change from one fundraiser to the next.
Every fee, and who charges itOn a $100.00 donation. Card processing is an estimate and can vary slightly by card.
How it works
Set it up
Tell your story, choose when donations open and close, and decide where the money should go. You only verify your bank details when you are ready to go live.
Share it
Send your link to friends, family, and anyone who cares. Donors can give as a guest, and can choose to cover the fees so you receive the full amount.
Collect it
Donations are held for 14 days to protect against chargebacks, then you can withdraw what has cleared. When your fundraiser ends, the rest is paid out automatically.
Questions
What does it cost?
The site keeps 10% of each donation. The card processor charges its own fee, about 2.9% + $0.30. There is also a $3.00 Stripe fee each time money is paid out to you, shown before you confirm. The fees page lists every one.
When do I get the money?
Each donation is held for 14 days, then becomes available to withdraw. You can withdraw once every 7 days, until 3 days before the fundraiser ends. After it ends, the final payout is sent to you automatically.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Gifts to an individual are generally not tax-deductible. Only gifts to registered charities may be. If you are unsure, ask a tax professional.
What if a donor disputes a charge?
A donor can ask their card company to reverse a charge (a chargeback). We hold only that donation while it is decided. If the dispute is lost, the donation and Stripe’s $15.00 dispute fee come out of your balance; if it is won, nothing changes.
